October 19, 2024 – 5 senses? More like 12

Saturday brings the peak of the Full Moon cycle energy complete with clarity and revelation from the double promise revealing its two meanings. It is a yang energy supporting the grounded, alignment from Taurus cycle bringing in the Gemini masculine, airy, communicative energy at 4:07PM. We may find ourselves being more flexible, quick witted, easily bored, or fickle during this two-day period. Communications are vital so we are reminded to make the most of our opportunities, we have already gotten several messages from Mercury this past week. Now that the Moon is in a sign Mercury rules, we can bet it is undergoing an upgrade. We are learning to discriminate and communicate gracefully with what we no longer want to include in our lives.

The Sun at, “an airplane hovering overhead” and Earth at, “a lost opportunity regained in the imagination” shows us things our 5 basic senses may not believe. Rudolf Steiner and the anthroposophist’s indicate there are actually 12 senses correlating to the 12 months, and 12 zodiac signs however they don’t line up exactly with the Gregorian calendar. Regardless, the senses include life, movement, balance, touch, warmth, taste, smell, sight, tone, words, thought, ego. Most of us haven’t been presented with the information in this way but we know they are logically sound. We know when our bodies are warm or cold; and movement through space must be mastered to walk or run. Back to the Sabian’s we are seeing an airplane hovering overhead pointing to rising above a situation or practically, watching or being watched. Today, we are reminded our egos will be pulling us to take a look at the broader picture rather than focusing on the details. We want to make sure we don’t become too detached and miss important deadlines or details so plan ahead Friday. The Earth reminds of insight gained through experience, in fact, we had the Earth and Sun at these positions back on April 16 except reversed. Life is about cycles and learning from our vantage point of maturity and the passage of time. Our advantage lies in being willing to start over or make changes if you realize you were wrong. There is no room for guilt or agony over these choices, make the decision and move on, be kind to yourself once you realize your mistake(s).
