Thursday brings the first day of the Gregorian year and a complete day of the moon in Gemini and Gibbous phase. The main event happens in the afternoon though. The Gemini moon energy will bring thoughts or ideas to our emotional bodies. The gibbous energy is serving up trust with inward lessons coming as we have things happen for us from the past plans we laid. This can be good or bad, depending how much effort was put in previously.

The first event is the Sun sextile the North Node at 3:00AM. This is an easing between our identity and destiny or movement toward future. This can look like realizing we aren’t alone on our journeys. Wednesday through Friday, we may get help from an unexpected source that really helps achieve your goals. This aspect is between Capricorn and Pisces, mature signs so it's likely this action is bringing wisdom.

Secondly, Mercury perfects square to Neptune at 8:33AM. This is a hard change between our communication or inner psyche and transformation through transcendence. We may feel this as right brain, or intuitive, thinking. At times it can leave us feeling overstimulated with confusion or misperception of events. Be aware of this possibility and try to keep yourself grounded. This is between planets in mutable signs so it's possible spreading and sharing will still factor in today.

Finally, and most importantly, Mercury enters Capricorn at 4:09PM. This is our communication moving into a more structured space where it is really neither comfortable or uncomfortable. We are likely to adopt more wise and careful thinking patterns. This is a time to plan with care but don’t be so structured that you miss out on good opportunities. We may end up going back to school or finding some new knowledge that carries authority in this window before January 21^st.
