This means the day is colored by Capricorn energy of consolidating and restructuring. We are paying attention to financial matters and the “foundations” of life. Solid plans are likely to come from this shift. The New Moon does not reach exact until late in the day. This means most of the day may feel like the balsamic dreamy energy, however there will be a shift.
The New Moon (9°Cp43') perfects at 6:26PM, the symbol is, “an albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor.” New moon phase is about beginning and intending, planting the seeds for the next 30 days. When reviewing the symbol, we can see that the basic lesson is, “those who wish to receive, must be willing to give.” Our lesson is likely to be in generosity, care and concern for others. We may find our energy pulled towards activities that center on helping those in need. This is a month to be generous with our time and resources. We know that what we give will be returned to us with interest, but that should not be the motivation for helping fellow humans. Our challenge will be in teaching independence, we don’t want to make others depend on our help because it “feeds our ego.”
While the new moon lesson may be scary, we will have support as Chiron stations direct today at 5:13PM. Chiron came back to 19°Ar00' in its sweep and are reminded this symbol is about social consciousness and the desire to help those less fortunate than ourselves. The young girl symbolizes innocence and youth while the birds symbolize hope and aspiration to weather harsh or barren seasons. This symbol has almost the exact same flair as the new moon and helps us to tell the difference between helping and interfering. It may be up to us to decide what is actually needed for someone vs what they want us to do. The only voice to worry about is your conscience; don’t get talked into something you may later regret because of a fear about saying no.
