December 20, 2025 – Living in the Past

Saturday begins the first of two full days with the moon in Capricorn and New phase for the entire day. New helps us seed intentions and move potential energy into kinetic energy or put things in motion for the drama that we call life. Capricorn brings structure to our emotional bodies and helps us consolidate what may have become too big to manage with Sagittarius. Repair and restructure will likely describe activities today and tomorrow.

We have a pretty busy day astrologically and begin with Mercury square the North Node at 10:59AM. This is a hard change between our communication or inner psyche and movement toward future or destiny. We likely feel it as viewing the past in a new light and reflecting on how things could have been better in life. With this information we are changing our ideas and plans about the year ahead.

The second event is the Black Moon entering Sagittarius at 2:11PM. In this sign, our shadow sides around truth are being presented for examination. We will likely find ourselves fighting with the fear of meaninglessness over the next 9 months. Issues around honesty and dishonestly will come up for us to work through and we begin with the symbol, “retired army veterans gather to reawaken old memories.” We can expect challenges with our past and living in it to come to the surface. We are likely being reminded to live in the now and not be satisfied with past achievements. If we are able to move through the heavy energy, we may find inspiration from the reflections and move into an even more fulfilling experience.

Last but not least, the Sun squares Neptune at 8:02PM. This is another change between our identity and dissolution or creativity. We may feel it as struggling with clarity. Don’t worry, it will come later, spend today and tomorrow more focused on dreaming rather than doing. Capricorn moon energy is helping us seed the plans rather than acting on them. Patience will be required because results will not be available today.
