Sunday afternoon brings the new moon in Taurus. Before we get there, the moon moves from Aries to Taurus at 3:16AM. We are shifting from the individualized mentality to a more routine or grounded version. The time for starting new projects has ended so we may find that spending time on consolidating projects is just as satisfying. Taurus is known for wanting to, “have it all,” and is ruled by Venus so beauty, stability and security may be a focus as well.

Around mid-afternoon (3:31PM) we have the New Moon in Taurus at, (07°Ta47’) “a sleigh without snow.” The new phase is when we begin and set intentions, this year we have two months of solar new phase meaning we are setting our intentions for a second time this moon cycle rather than moving on to crescent solar phase. This is good because crescent is about being challenged and growing. Because there are two new cycles, we get the opportunity to really focus on our target. The Sabian symbol is about miracles and magic. It is likely we will be receiving help from an unexpected source or that the solution is right in front of us, we just need to look closer. Experimentation will be integral to this cycle so we should avoid accepting defeat too easily. We should also avoid rejecting potential solutions because they don’t seem logical. This is a magical moon phase so don’t be afraid of failure, its just a step closer to success.
